Admin Commands

HSC ChaosMod exposes a primary /chaos administrator command and a compatible next-effect queue alias.

Permission setup

In your FiveM server.cfg:

add_ace group.admin chaosmod.admin allow

Replace group.admin if your server uses a different ACE group. The ACE object name may also be changed in Config.AdminAce, but it must match your permission rules. The server console is trusted automatically.

Commands entered from the server console omit the leading /, for example chaos status.

Command reference

/chaos offDisable automatic rotation, clear the pending queue, and stop the active effect.

Quick examples

/chaos list
/chaos force miscFireworks
/chaos next miscNightVision
/chaos pause
/chaos status
/chaos resume

Operational details

  • Effect IDs are not the same as their display names. Use miscFireworks, not Fireworks.
  • The ID lookup for force and queue commands is case-insensitive.
  • Any effect blocked by Config.LiveSafeMode, Config.AllowDestructiveEffects, Config.WeatherEffects, or Config.DisabledEffects cannot be manually forced or queued.
  • playerSwap requires at least two online players.
  • The server refuses to start an effect when the server is empty and Config.SkipWhenEmpty = true.
  • Using /chaos force immediately ends the previous active effect and restarts the automatic event timer.
  • /chaos next queues the selected effect instead of playing it immediately. Automatic rotation must be enabled and unpaused for the queue to be consumed.
  • /chaos stop does not undo every action performed by an instant or destructive effect.
  • Manual /chaos force can still start an eligible effect while automatic chaos is disabled; use effect restrictions if certain effects should never be available.

Permission errors

If /chaos status reports Permission denied. Required ACE: chaosmod.admin, verify your player's effective ACE principal assignments and server.cfg entry. Use the server console for a permission-independent test.
